About the Expo
The Overseas Filipino Expo caters to the needs of overseas Filipinos and their families to discuss the challenges and successes of living and working overseas. It also aims to highlight stories from balikbayans making a difference back in the home country.
Panels and launch
Drawing from real-life experiences, the panels tackled opportunities and challenges faced by Overseas Filipinos as they established careers, social lives, and return investments. Also featured are experiences by foreigners who see opportunities in the Philippines. The highlight of the 1st Overseas Filipino Expo is the launch of Saanman, a book edited by National Book Awardee Jack A. Alvarez, who is also an OFW based in Saudi Arabia.
