The PSA compiles and disseminate data on the Philippines SDG Indicators in support of evidence-based policies, plans, and programs, and monitoring and evaluation toward the achievement of the SDGs in the country.

As the designated official repository of the Philippine SDG indicators, PSA regularly updates and publishes the SDG Watch, which reports the latest data against the baseline and target data for all adopted SDG indicators. The baseline and target for each of the indicators were determined through consultations with mandated stakeholder consultations by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS).

SDG Watch is sustained by data produced by PSA and designated national government agencies (NGAs), and selected international development organizations.

SDG Watch adopts and also publishes the following SDG measures to track progress of the country in each of the Philippines SDG Indicators,

  1. Anticipated Progress Approach (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific)
  2. Current Status Index (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific)
  3. Time Distance Measure (Prof. Pavle Sicherl of the University of Ljubljana, Sweden)

as approved through PSA Board Resolution No. 5, Series of 2020. These measures are meant to inform policies, plans, programs, and actions by the government, the private sector, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure the country’s achievement of the SDGs.
